Psychological Support
Drawing on over twenty years of experience as a professional musician, recording artist and composer, alongside my training and experience as a psychotherapist, I bring an understanding of both the emotional and professional realities of working in the music industry.
My aim is to be someone you can turn to for confidential, trusted psychological support, with an understanding of the unique pressures, relationships and challenges that come with working in the public eye.
Short Term Therapy During Times of Crisis
Experiencing a personal or professional crisis can be particularly difficult when your life or work is in the public eye. The pressures of public scrutiny, media attention and the expectations of others can make an already challenging experience feel even more overwhelming.
I offer confidential, compassionate and professional therapeutic support during these times, providing a space away from external pressures where you can begin to make sense of what is happening, explore your emotional responses and find ways to navigate difficult circumstances.
My approach is relational, somatic and trauma-informed, with an emphasis on helping you feel supported, more grounded and connected to yourself during periods of uncertainty or distress.
Consultancy Support for Artist Management
Working as an artist manager can bring considerable responsibility, particularly when supporting artists through personal or professional difficulties. Alongside managing the practical demands of the industry, you may also find yourself navigating complex emotional situations, often without much support of your own.
I offer a confidential, supportive and collaborative space where managers can explore these challenges, develop a greater understanding of the psychological and emotional difficulties that may arise, and consider how best to support the artists they work with.
Drawing on my experience as both a psychotherapist and a professional musician, I bring an understanding of the unique pressures of the music industry, alongside a relational and trauma-informed approach to mental health and wellbeing.
Mental Health Workshops
I offer tailored mental health and wellbeing workshops for artist management teams, record labels and organisations working across the music and creative industries.
Drawing on my professional experience in music and my work in psychotherapy, these workshops explore some of the particular challenges faced by those working in the industry, including stress, burnout, boundaries, relationships, identity, performance pressures and the impact of social media.
My approach is collaborative, practical and informed by an understanding of the realities of working in music. Each workshop can be developed around the particular needs of your team or organisation, with the aim of encouraging greater awareness, understanding and more supportive conversations around mental health and wellbeing.
